“Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.” – Donald Trump

What does it mean?

Failure often casts a shadow and we are bred to believe that failure should always be avoided. However, there is a concept called failure forward. Failure doesn’t always have to be a negative thing. It can actually be nurturing and inspirational if we choose to accept and learn from our mistakes. Failure promotes self reflection and growth, and can eventually lead us to success if we take the time to understand and grasp the message that comes with it.

We need to learn how to be okay with not being perfect. By accepting the reality that it is impossible to be perfect all the time, we actually become more relaxed and less anxious with how we present ourselves. Acknowledging our imperfections allows us to step out of our comfort zone and more often than not, discover new things that we are potentially good at – opening new doors towards success.
